Sorry if this has already been covered but I did search and didn't come up with anything..
I just bought a 360 and I'd like to set it up to stream my movies/media/etc. but on the xbox it says I need a media center PC.. is there a way to do it with my PowerMac?

performance is question mark with a crap os like Window, and stop saying Windows 7 is good because it is not, it is just better than Vista... not hard eh?
Flash works? Flash is crap on every platform, the few on which can run on since it is proprietary, and as far as it makes sense it runs on mac os too so i don't see your point. Costs a less than a Mac Pro/iMac/MacBook pro is relative as always, even good PCs which you can build if you have some experience, will not have an impressive power/consumption ratio as most Macs, will not have multitouch, unibody, all in one design, FireWire800 (please don't say USB3 which is crap), and many other things. You are just evalutating what you thing are important for you. You are not smarter, stop embarassing yourself.

Now, I could build a computer wearing a blindfold in 1o minutes if I wanted, I spent 8 years in IT and built hundreds of computers. But I like the Aurora ALX so shoot me now for daring to like a PC!! I like it's design and case and I CANNOT buy that on anything else.
And I would be more then happy to not build a PC.
So are we clear on that? As for firewire, well if I ever used it maybe it would be a loss but seeing as EVERYTHING I plug into a computer is done so by USB then yeap, USB 3 FTW. And USB3 will get huge support.
I can have a powerful desktop that will make any iMac cry and I can play with it's insides as much as I want AND it IS cheaper then a Mac Pro.
As for the smarter bit, by God I'm a flipping damn site smarter then you are mate! I don't wake up every morning and pray to my Mac and posses the ability to buy what "I" like no matter the make!! Sure, put an Airport Express in every room with a set of speakers plugged in to each one and your done. Play music from your Mac, iPod Touch or iPhone to one or multiple rooms.

I don't know if I'm shooting myself in the foot by charging hourly? I know some designers charge by the type of job and the type of labor it entails (conceptual vs. layout, etc.). If a company has made a profit of $15,000,000, but they were wanting $16,000,000 based on nothing more than their accountant's predictions, they won't settle for that $15m. They will lay off people, make others work longer, and cut salaries and benefits to achieve their "goal". It's no longer about making money...it's about making excessive money for the upper management and pleasing shareholders.
You see it in the stock market all the time. A company announces that it's profits will fall short of some astronomical assumed figure, and shareholders start selling off the stock because large profits are worse than huge profits.
While this isn't in the private market, and I'm sure someone (we know who) will find a way to say this is OK, it reminds me of a recent story I read. I think it was Texas Tech or something required all of their faculty to take a pay freeze, yet gave the football coach a half-million dollar a year raise. Not $50k, not $100k...$500k a year added to his already $1.5m a year salary. All while telling teachers there was not enough money to do anything for them. And it wasn't a contracted raise, if I recall, it was a "promise". The very fact that the coach would take that says enough to me. That's pretty sick.

Well based on the news that Apple's new NC data center was the largest for a single company. I would say yes.
No way ... each gmail account gets upwards of 7 gigabytes of storage ... do you even know how many gmail accounts there are?
Google definitely has more than Apple, it may be that they spread it over multiple data centers, so it's not counted as one.

It may be fun for play, but I cant see anything real being done on that. Most high end photo editors wont even use a trackpad/laptop...
Now if they can make it double as a wacom for a desktop and mirror the image form the computer.. now youre talking :)
And from a user standpoint, having all menus buried and no keyboard shortcuts, you're expanding the time to edit drastically.
do you own an ipad even? if you did you'd see that there are already some pretty serious apps that do a lot of the thing photoshop can do. also did you listen to the ma at all? this is a way to get work done where having a computer isn't so convenient. you need to do some research before making a a statement like i can't see anything real being done on that. the only difference between a wacom and ipad is pressure sensitivity. well that and price. a color wacom is more expensive and more focused to do one thing very well. below is a link to an artist who does most of their work on an ipad. check it out and tell me it's just a thing for fun!! if photoshop brings a serious app, a 2GB app it will be extremely useful. i'm a comic book illustrator just getting started on the ipad and i see great potential here. i'd like to see retina display mainly for better zoom in when drawing. but the ipad is way more than fun for play.

ok 10.5 is loaded but Nap wont start. There is a message that pops up when I reboot that says:
